Please welcome the newest addition to our team, Dr. Monique Sandhu! With this we are happy to announce we will be available for weekend appointments for the first time in over 10 years! She will be working 2 or 3 Saturdays per month from 10am-1pm, along with Tuesday and Thursday afternoons each week.

Dr. Bart is away and will be returning on Thursday, March 28

The office will be closed for the Easter Long Weekend, from March 29 through April 1

We do ask that if you need to switch doctors for scheduling reasons, please do so after a minimum of 3 visits with the first doctor to ensure a proper program an be discussed and implemented based on initial findings.

If you schedule your first visit online and do not give adequate notice (24 hours) that you will not be making your appointment, you may be charged the full fee for the visit as we will likely not be able to fill the appointment slot.

Dr. Bart Bubak started his journey into health and wellness in 2001, when he started studying Chiropractic in San Jose, California, graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2005.

After graduation he moved back to Alberta and practiced there for a few years until 2009, when he moved to Vancouver to start practicing chiropractic within the Yaletown community. Before the decision to study chiropractic, he was residing in Edmonton for most of his life where he received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta in 2000.

Dr. Bubak resides in downtown Vancouver with his wife Emilia, and their three sons. With his family, he believes in living a healthy balanced lifestyle, enjoying all the benefits that beautiful British Columbia and Vancouver have to offer.

For many years now Dr. Bubak has enjoyed many outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, snowboarding as well as sports like soccer and tennis. Just recently he has discovered a new found passion of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which he eagerly practices as often as he can.

Dr. Bart focuses his chiropractic care on the personal goals of each client. He believes that care should help clients return to, and maintain a healthy functional lifestyle that allows them to enjoy a quality of life they desire. Dr. Shawn K. Exley has been practicing at Yaletown Chiropractic since 2013, becoming the owner of the clinic in 2017. He graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. He has always had a desire to help others and, when he was introduced to chiropractic, he saw how beneficial it was in supporting those with an active lifestyle. Growing up, he participated in competitive sports such as hockey, baseball, and soccer. In his 30’s he shifted the focus of his athletic endeavors towards competitive distance running, having run numerous marathons and half marathons both locally and abroad (including the 2023 Boston Marathon).

After completing high school and obtaining his Associate of Science degree at the University of the Fraser Valley, Dr. Shawn moved to eastern Canada to complete his Bachelor of Science Honours in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. Before attending chiropractic school, he worked as a kinesiologist, designing active rehabilitation and gradual return to work programs for individuals who were injured in motor vehicle accidents.

Dr. Shawn focuses his chiropractic care on each client’s specific goals. Whether the goal is to simply walk comfortably or run a marathon, he takes a functional approach to his chiropractic techniques. Dr. Monique Sandhu graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree, with honours, from University of Western States (UWS) in Portland, Oregon.

Prior to graduating with her Chiropractic degree, Dr. Sandhu received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from University of the Fraser Valley and her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from University of Western States. Currently, Dr. Sandhu is completing a post-graduate training program in Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation, through the Carrick Institute.

Dr. Sandhu is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She continues to take courses through the ICPA to become more knowledgeable in pregnant and pediatric care.

Dr. Sandhu is dedicated to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals through collaborative and evidence-based practices. She employs a combination of chiropractic manipulation, soft tissue techniques and exercise rehabilitation. Dr. Sandhu is a Certified Active Release Technique (ART) Provider®. Some of her techniques include diversified technique, Thompson drop table, activator, and soft tissue treatment (ART®, muscle energy technique (MET), instrument assisted techniques and pin-and-stretch).
